A trip to the Wedgewood Rooms , Southsea to see the Duke Spirit on the first leg of their UK tour,excellent as always.

 

 

Uncle duties done.

A trip up to Hornchurch to visit Dave & Nes and the sprogs for Sam’s birthday. The cost of drinking his beer and eating his food was to set up Sams present – decent nets! After a bit of work they were up and running and obviously needed testing.  Football was soon curtailed as Dave managed to lose both balls in next doors garden – Sam was less than impressed!

 

Asahi beer at sakura

A trip to Sakura , Southsea for some fine Japanese food and a chance to reaquaint myself with the gorgeous Asahi beer after developing the taste for it on my trip to Japan many moons ago.

Yogi after some pork scratchings...

Predictably the Pooch rather likes the smell of the old pork scratchings - at least it's a good distraction tool ( A tasty one at that)

 

A taste of the black country in Pompey

The local (as well as the Dolphin in old portsmouth) have started stocking these tasty pub delicacies. Though not as good as the pork scratchings outside the Hawthorns they are still a decent pub nibble.
